Petrea volubilis - Sandpiper Vine - in the canopy of the Peanut Tree

Its lovely does the peanut tree produce peanuts or is that just its name.

Morgana the Sterculia quadrifida is commonly called the Peanut Tree because it's seeds do taste like peanuts apparently - never tried them myself but the aboriginal people who live up here say they do. I did a blog of the tree some time back - it's regarded as a bush tucker tree, providing something you can eat.

Love Petrea volubilis! They grow so large for most small yards though. However, it can be trained as a small standard tree.

I've always had in my gardens Andy ... I forgot I had planted this one though and it's sneakily climbed up the sterculia!

60 foot / 18 meter tall tree.
