I took the lawn up earlier this year and put down gravel

Pretty planting :o)
How do you find the having the gravel instead of the lawn ?
I'm thinking of possibly doing the same thing and removing my front lawn some time...
Is there a membrane laid under the gravel ?
Which size of gravel did you use ?
What is the lovely blue plant by the white woodwork ?
Is it a type of ceanothus ?
So many questions...Lol.

Hi
1) Yes there is a menbrane just a cheap one from B&Q
2) It was the cheapest gravel but I liked the colour don't Know what size (sorry)
3) Now that is Solanum Crispin Glasnevin (Chilean potato tree) Clematis hate my garden but these love it and they are so easy to care for and evergreen
I am so glad I gravelled the front it's south facing and all my plants have thrived with the mulch.Everything has doubled in size and you would love the Solanum now!
