That is a lovely spot! Amazing how many plants actually thrive there when it is so hot & arid.

Thanks so much for the comments. I am so taken with this area. The mountains in the distance are the south side of the first entering Zions National Park, the parents live just 18 miles from the park mouth. We are on our way to Bryce canyon in this pic, those photos are still to come. :-)

Lol, Arlene! I was thinking along the same lines - when I first saw this photo I could hear the 'spaghetti western' music in my head!

Thanks. This southern Utah area was where many fimls were made. The Coral sand dunes with the yellow flowers is where they filmed Lawrence of Arabia. The border country stretches across to the Grand Canyon with al these classic cliffs and tumbling brush.

Thank you. :-) The character of the desert is written on its face. I love it too. This I took just outside Colorado Springs, Arizona. Around 38-40C. The broken mesa across the back is the southeast face of Zions National Park.
