This is a lovely colour Tradescantia. Mine are more mauvish but the flowers haven't really opened properly the last 2 years so I have considered digging them out and perhaps moving them to a cooler position.
Does this one live in a border or a pot and is it outside in a warm position Motinot?

Hi Paul...I planted these in this pot last spring...only one came up..but it has increased in size during the summer and flowered continuously...i now have it under cover and hope it survives the winter...i didnt want to take a chance and leave it out...Hopefully it survives and i will pot it on this coming spring....I sent for another one on ebay recently called Commelina coelestis 'sleeping beauty'...it arrived in plastic wrapping so i have potted it up and put it in the cold-frame with the other one....fingers crossed...:>)

Yes, I think most of the Tradescantias are fairly hardy although I don't actually know these two.

Oo, it does look very much like it. I looked it up and looks like they are closely related if not synonomous and I discovered they are both from the southwest US where I found mine in the wild. I like how wide these leaves are and this perfect sky blue.
