I love that one Simbad , if you have a seed or two to spare I would like it very much .... .. Have you got any the same colour as mine ? I can save you some seed from that if you like .... I can't remember if I have any left in the shed I will look tomorrow ... :o)

I bought a plant this summer - it's supposed to have white flowers. I hope it will, next year - I've always liked Dieramas.

They are lovely aren't they Barbara, can't wait for them to make big clumps, should look even more impressive then, these are in sunny spot and doing well, but have dierama' blackbird' too which I've had for three years hasn't flowered yet, think I'll have to move it this year to sunnier spot.

I bought three plants at a fair this year. The lady selling them called them angels fishing rods. I looked them up and apparently they can take a long time to flower after moving them, so if you have not done so yet I would leave them another year.

Will leave a bit longer then, see what happens next year, strange really as the ones above I grew from seed three years ago and they have flowered before the plant I bought !!!!!!

This is lovely Simbad. I've set some Dierama Blackberry Bells seeds this autumn :-)

I've tried to grow from seed before Bornagain with no success, but must say plantworld seeds germinated really easy, just put them in a tray outside in spring, easy :-)
Ooh not heard of that one Dawn, off to search it now.

Did you find it Simbad. Hope they're going to be OK. The flowers should be a magenta colour.

Got the seeds, thank you Simbad!!!
These are lovely and unusual!!
Does it take long to flower?
Is it better to keep the seedlings in pots until they mature?
I'd rather keep them in the ground once the seedlings get big enough to plant them out. Thanks in advance for your advice!!

This one only took two years Tommymoo, some from the same packet still haven't flowered, four years on, they were mixed seed.
Can be quite slow to germinate just sow them in trays outside, sowed mine in spring and they took a couple of months, just look like blades of grass at first, think its best to keep them in pots the first winter and plant them out the following spring.
Can't wait till mine grow into big clumps, love them :-)

Another good piece of advice Simbad!!
Thank you very much!!
Your seeds took a couple of months to germinate? Wow! If I don't know that, I would give up my hope and cry. Really good to know!!
These are really lovely... Never seen things like this before :)
Thanks again :D

Lol give up hope and cry:-)
Remember nearly doing that with some eryngium seeds, threw them in the garden after waiting for a couple of months for them to grow, the next year they popped up were I'd thrown them, lol.
