We completely replanted this bed this year after pulling out a hedge that ran down the middle - opening out the whole area to make it lighter.

Yes Morgana - we have a mixture of white & bale blue (lilac) capanula. The delphiniums, lupins & foxgloves we grew ourselves - this is their 1st year - we just planted up the bed in May. Must have grown over 300 plants between the winter of last year up to now & the polytunnel is absolutely stuffed again with wintering lupins and delphiniums growing for next year to put into "The Orchard". (An area of wasteland the same size again as the main garden - just started working on this year). Delphs are so easy to grow and have a great success rate.

That is great you have achieved all this, will be looking forward to seeing the orchard too I love delphiniums my mum always tried to get the white ones but never succeeded. Will look forward to seeing all the lupins and delphiniums next year.

Wagger - lots of slugs unfortunately. The bark helps but they hide under it and chomp through the stems. Lost a lot of dalphs, lupins & hollyhocks to them, though this bed wasn't so bad.
