:)) definately a Heucherella, this is it's winter colour, it goes a beautiful orange colour in summer, with white flowers. Plantagogo have it, but they're sold out until spring

What a problem - first G. confirms its ID, then tells us we can't have one! Hmmmm...yes, Alice - into the 'wish-list' book, I think!

PLEASE can anyone tell this idiot (me, as usual) what the difference is between a heuchera, a tiarella and and a heucharella (I imagine the last is a hybrid of the first two. I thought I had inherited a couple of heucheras with the garden, and always thought them a bit dull, then first one, (last year), and now the second (just in the past two weeks) have developed flower buds on tall stems. They weren't doing well in quite a sunny spot, so I moved them, and they seem to be thriving in a shadier spot, unstrangled by bindweed. The leaves are nothing special, but the flowers promise a fair bit. I wish I had "Sweet Tea", Grindle.

Gattina, if you type in Plantagogo in the search box you'll find masses of information from GoY member Vicky1 ... she's won Golds at Chelsea and knows all about them! ... :o)

a heucherella is a cross between a heuchera and a tiarella :)

Hallo, Grindle, long time no see!
18 Apr, 2014
In the last two years, I have discovered lots of different heucheras, (thanks to blogs like this) including "Sweet Tea"; have learned to propagate them, and I now have lots of shady spots in my garden adorned with serried ranks of them, interspersed with bulbs and fuchsias and other shade-lovers. They look wonderful, and have transformed everything. No Tiarellas or Heucherellas, yet, though.
