This white was a must have from last year, and look it is blooming. All the years I've had my bloomless easter cactus and now no care holiday blooms from these little newbies.

Thank you for the comments. The white is a real treasure, so immaculate. I'm just overwhlemed how much easier these have been to bloom than my easter cactus. I cut back its water and put in one place to stay. We'll see if that does it.

the "easter" cactus you refer to has round rather than flattened segments, right? wonder why it is that they are harder to please?

The segments are flat but not spiked and the flowers are circular rather than this to the side shape, more like a daisy. It is hot pink and seen only when I bought it. They still require things like the cold treatment. Yet that did nothing so I'm trying just leaving it alone. My sisters blooms and she does nothing but neglect it.

You realize that with the admission those of us reading your post will be all the more determined to find one...I welcome plants who thrive on neglect!! Do you find that some plants really come into their own when you are away on holidays? I've had that happen to me and I was crushed....

I do overspoil very often, though the more busy I am, the less spoiling....lol. I love to find a plant coming into its own without me. It like the proud parent feeling, there it is, doing it all on its own. :-)
