They're all out today!!

Lovely birds, Collar Doves but I detest their cousins - Wood Pigeons. Would they not qualify for Spritz's garden THUGS?

Another good photo , i like the doves dont mind the wood pigeons there no trouble at my end, only get one but sometimes he brings a mate but he eats all the seed of the floor so keeps my lawn pretty tidy.

Unfortunately we are plagued with Wood Pigeons in my area and they are an absolute nuisance, both for the local farmers and for the small gardener. They can decimate the veg patch in the Spring, feeding on young runner beans, dwarf beans, peas, cabbages and anything else that takes their fancy. They will also hoover up anything on the bird-table which they raid every morning depriving the smaller birds of their breakfast. For this reason, I replenish the bird-table with small portions, several times a day when I am nearby and able to chase the darn things off. I sometimes feel like Betsy Trotwood, scaring them off but not exactly yelling “donkeys”. :>))
They are officially listed as pests – and rightly so!

they are beautifull Dan i have 4 that come to me, 2 every day all day, they chase the pigions off lol
