Louise1:
This is actually a very popular shrub or small tree.
It is because of the copper-colored leaves...why
it's so popular. It also has small white flowers...they
are not noticeable in the photo though.

Is that it's natual shape? I can't imagine you can trim a Euphorbia. Great pictures as always Andy.

Rbtkew:
These shrubs/trees can easily be trimmed. However, it
tends to grow naturally very roundish in shape.

There's some really nice larger trees in my neighborhood. In Spring I'll have to take some photo...as now they're all without leaves. I have one in a pot, too.

I shall look forward to seeing them all in spring time, yours too.

I noticed my plant is starting to put out some very small leaves. This tree has a very short deciduous period.

Thats great Andy will be looking sooner than I thought, interesting it only has a short deciduous period though.

Most trees from tropical climates usually have very short deciduous periods...some like my Ficus religiosa has a deciduous period of only about 3 weeks (in late spring).

Thats not very long is it.

Sixpence:
Many tropical/subtropical trees here are considered "briefly deciduous"...some trees loose their leaves as new ones are growing like: Fraxinus uhdei (Mexican, Tropical Ash)
