Thanks for the comments everyone :) I spied this little cutie from the the school-yard while working yesterday. She would land on the tree and then fly back and forth to its reflection in a nearby car window, and flap it's wings up against the window; like it was guarding it's territory from another bird. I thought that it was a baby woodpecker w it's long beak. I came back after my shift to snap a shot of it so that I could identify it. It must have seen me arrive and was camera shy...it ran way up into the redwood and hid out till I got back into my car and began to drive off. As soon I drove off it came back to the exact spot I saw it previously. I positioned my car at the proper angle and hopped over to the passenger side and snapped this shot from the cover of my car. I took several photos, none came out crystal clear; this ones too fast! This was the best one. Gottcha Nuthatch!!
