This Eucalytus species is very widely grown throughout the
state of Calfornia. They do have a beautiful red/brown trunk and
pretty flowers in winter. Most species of Eucalytus trees
bloom in winter. Photo taken at Lake Murray on Nov. 19,
2009.

Is it possible it isn't hot or sunny enough for them to
bloom in late Fall or Winter? All Eucalytus trees bloom
...even though not all have very showy flowers...however,
they are all very noticeable because of the large quantity of flowers.

Isn't that gorgeous ?
I've never seen any Eucalyptus in flower over here, that is presumably because of the lack of necessary heat or sunlight hours in this climate ?
Or, we just don't 'have' the flowering types here ?
