It's a good idea to wear gloves when handling this plant.

Yes it is also there is a crocus water lily which you plant in the ground too that says on net to ware gloves when planting that is highly poisonous too, squirrels won't go near them either as they are that deadly. Just informing you incase you have any animals or young children.
