She loves to wrap her blanket or fleece around her when she goes to bed at night Clarice - she's quite comical - pulls it round about her until only her nose sticks out & she's so cosy.

Janey / Louise - thanks. The CG definately had good taste when picking the 2 of them from the litter. They were undoubtedly the best looking (but then perhaps I'm biased). It's very hard to get a picture of Holly which shows off her beautiful eyes - this is 1 of them though.

I don't think she looks very pleased with being in that cage lol

I hadn't noticed that Hywel.

Cottagegardener ..... why is Holly in a cage ??

29 Nov, 2009

Hi Hewel / Louise - They have a massive cage that they sleep in at night (in the kitchen), as we found they were being lazy & leaving deposits on the carpet behind the door (even though they'd been outside, & need I say more, when you opened the door it got messy. Problem now solved. They have the free run of the house all day & absolutely love their "den" (cage). It has their big padded beds & blankets in. We did a lot of research into dog cages before ever buying one but as all people who use them will agree, they are great & the dogs view them as their "dens". They are thoroughly at home in it. Holly was just putting on her "I've just woken up" face.

I thought maybe the photo was in the place you got her from. I didn't know you could get cages for them in the house. It seems a good idea being they enjoy it.
I can't imagine puting Blodyn in a cage lol. She'd attack me I think. Cats and dogs are so different aren't they.

Ted and Pops had to go to the cattery when we went away last Spring Hywel, Pops was okay, but Ted didn't miaow at me for a week, he just had this disgusted hurt face till he forgot! Missed his stash of Co-op ham no doubt!
I think our Finn would have loved a den like this though, it would have been very secure for him, bring a rescue dog, he's 12 now but still nervous.

..... Janey, and i think that's why Millie loves that 'nest' i bought, so much.
Rescue animals need somewhere they feel safe in :-)

Hywel, Janey, Louise - We've had Buddy & Holly since they were 6 weeks old. They weren't rescue dogs but took to this like 2nd nature, seeing it as their own "wee den" to sleep in at night.

Good morning Holly !!! Fabulous pic CG. I know a few people who have these cages. Saves any little 'whoops' problems as they won't do them in 'their own place' ! Lol :~))

Good morning Sue - I'm just such a sleepy head in the mornings. Infact I'm so lazy that I just stick my head out of the cage to eat my breakfast then get myself all wraped up again & go back to sleep until dad puts the fire on........then I can lie in front of it ! Oh it's a dog's life.
