Love at first sight! So pretty - and evergreen too.
This is also called P. x fraseri 'Pink Marble'.

It can get as large as its 'Red Robin' relative - or it can be pruned!

Wow....thats a smasher....:))))

I saw it in an advert - a teeny-tiny one for a huge price...then I found this while I was pot-spotting! :-))))) A good sized-plant at a GOOD price!

Even better!!!!

Definitely - especially as the advert seemed to think it was 'exclusive' to them!

thats the hook to us eager gardeners to have unusual plants. its a bit of a con isnt it. glad you have found it so resonably priced. does the pink develop as it gets colder?

I really like the colour on that one :)

No I don't think so, Sbg - but I shall find out as the winter moves on! Yes, I think it's a con too - I googled it and it IS available elsewhere!
Thanks, Grindle - you can see why it was on my wish-list, can't you?

oh I certainly can :)))))) come to think of it, my garden could do with another evergreen too ;)

I was looking for this yesterday and ...... Larch Cottage have a pink marbled one too :-)
Photinia davidiana 'Palette'
And there's another gardening site that has them Pink Marble too !!!

P. davidiana 'Palette' - I have that, and it's very different from this one - the leaves are smaller. I do like it, but this one has the 'form and habit' of Red Robin.

No - but I'm told that it's beginning to appear in the GCs! So I reckon all of them will stock it soon. :-))

Gardening Express sell this plant and it's very poor value for money.
I've seen far, far better at the garden centres near here.
23 Dec, 2009
That was where I saw it first - they claimed it was 'exclusive' to them! I didn't get it from them, though. :-)))
