I think it's beyond repair ... I didn't want Tony to see it as I knew it would worry him when he couldn't get up or do anything about it but he spied it from the bedroom window .... I think next year we will have to try to cover the fruit with nets or something .. it's a shame ...
I'm sorry about your screen Jacque .. I like to see the snow but it can cause problems .......

Oh my goodness, what a shame. Lock your door so hubby can't get any ideas for sorting it out until he is 100% again. Perhaps your family could 'tidy it' so it doesn't worry him.

The snow is causing so many problems for everyone, sorry about your fruit cage Amy, maybe when its starts to thaw you can get it sorted xx

Thanks everyone ..I don't think it can be fixed , I'm sure our son will have a look at it when he comes down for Christmas , we have enough problems with the birds / squirrels stealing the fruit as it is ....

Lucky you! that's in my plans...just hope it works out. we now have about a foot of snow on the ground and more is forecast. it protects plants and shrubs so in a way it's a good thing to have around...but the temperatures...brrrrrr....hopefully your spring will come quickly. February? March?

Can't come soon enough for me Lori . it's bitterly cold , freezing outside ...and more snow on the way !

Well my son fixed it up last week while he was here for the Christmas holiday , but it collapsed under the snow again since he has gone home ..I think a lot of the post will have to be renewed in the spring or it might be easier to use some kind of tunnel things to keep the birds and squirrels off the fruit ... we will have to think about it .. :o(
