Thanks Jacque / Carole , No it's a male pheasant Sandra , it's the son of Charlie who use to come round bringing Fred with him , Charlie hasn't come this year .. we suspect something has happened to him ........

Gee / Carole , He is almost first in the queue in the mornings , you should see him sorting the pigeons out ... the seed cakes I make in the cardboard Brie cheese boxes it's easy to bring them in at night ........

We get partridges occasionally Sandra. They're markings are beautiful too but they're much stockier than pheasants and they dont have the long tail.

thanx dawn i guess if i saw them i would realise the differance, i remember that, no long tail feathers

Yes he's a young one Dawn , he hasn't the bright markings of the older ones yet .. .. ......... the colour is different to the older ones Sandra ,if he is still here next year I will take another photo ..LOL...

Thanks Lorie ... he has been coming almost to the back door in this freezing cold weather , he knows that as soon as I see him I wil take extra food out ....

I have another little brown rabbit that does the same thing! it makes a person feel good to help them out during the cold times, aye?
