Do you remember me saying they had a late brood Toto, and you said the worry is if they can put enough weight on to take them through Winter - well this is one of them - I'm trying my best to bulk them up :-)

Think you may have it a bit colder than us, in the day its quite nice but come late afternoon till about 10 in morning its freezing, i keep throwing some plain biscuits out for them in afternoon, to help them along abit, one of my sons as just called as i was breaking some up for later with some out of date crumpets and he laugh and said you feed them better than yourself by looks of it,i do keep them well stocked but the afternoon feed is just extra, think it helps them through the night.

It gets a bit obsessive doesnt it Clarice, I keep looking out from my warm house and feeling so guilty. I think Ill pop out now and give mine some biscuits too.

Jane here Dawn.So cold all day here and was in and out with treats and top ups all day ! Like you say it becomes a bit obsessive ! Lol

Hello Jane, I've been the same ... in and out with bits and bobs for them. Bonnie is my biggest problem, she knows there's food on the ground and wants it. Still freezing here too.

The blackbirds were still here at dusk and had polished off everything in sight ! Last to leave was trotty wagtaiil and he had 8 mealworms on the solid frozen pond.!

I do remember Dawn. He is loking good so far and with your help I'm sure that he will make it. All creatures should have somone like you to help them.

You are too nice Toto. Still feeding like crazy - there are about 6 moor hens in the garden, they sit in the trees and on the fence like your average garden bird, the pond's still frozen so they've hijacked the garden. :-)
