They've been on the lawn all day - looks weird watching them feed amongst the chaffinches and blackbirds.

Their nests are perfect arent they Amy - reeds all inter-laced :-) and the chicks are just soooo cute.

I agree Clarice, I keep thinking of the poor things out there, all night and day in the freezing cold :-(

Makes two of us, i was saying to Jacque yesterday the little birds have got no fat on them to keep themselves warm have they, i have got plenty of rooster nest in garden but i dont think they use them although there is some bedding in them so not to sure.

I have 3 of those too Clarice. I dont see them use them but maybe they sneak in after dark. Mine are only standard though, with your bedding you're are more luxury suites. :-)

its only pet straw i got last year and put it in for them, as mine are only cheap roosting nest. :))

I got mine really cheap too Clarice from B&Q. I put the biscuit crumbs out for them :-) My biggest job is keeping Bonnie from hoovering all the food up - you know how greedy labradors are.

Thats true but labs ae such a lovely breed of dog are'nt they.

24 Dec, 2009

Yes Clarice, I couldnt ask for anymore from a dog than Bonnie.
The moorhens are still hungry, bless, they've taken over the garden now as the pond is frozen.
