Mushybanna:
Cycas revoluta - Sago Palm is the hardiest in the genus...it will tolerate snow and temps to 15 degrees F. / -9 degrees C with little or no damage. Of course, it grows much larger and only slighly faster in milder climates.

I've read in Japan this cycad is so popular...people grow them in areas where it gets so cold that they cut all the fronds off in winter and cover the plant with straw for protection...and in spring they grow new fronds.
