Lovely close up nice picture were they looking for food?

You can't really see in the pic but behind the bamboo there is a 10 inch step up to the lawn. There was grass poking out and they seem to be nibbling away at the roots. Until I disturbed them :o(

So they were looking for food, at least you got a few good pictures.
