Thanks all, managed to buy this for a few pounds many moons ago, it has the rose but forgot to put it on ........

you could paint it dotty like the ones on the barges, would look very cool

Apart from it's handle, that is identical to mine...and mine was my Dads! But the rose is missing and I have never managed to get one for it . New ones are the wrong size.

Valadel ~ I have never managed to find a rose for mine. I even went to an old fashioned hardware store near me ~ the kind where they go out the back and rummage and find ancient stuff! ~ but they didn't have one either!
