Love these plants .. I had so many of them in my last garden, but only one in this ... thinking of getting some more as potted plants out in the courtyard. This one is a beauty.

Bernieh:

Thanks! I have several planted in very shady areas throughout my yard. They need almost complete shade here. I planted these out two years or so ago...the ones that were planted in more sun...I hate to say -- are no longer alive. : > (

There's literally hundreds of varieties of Chinese evergreen. I really love some of the newer varieties...they have some very intersting variegations.

I'm hoping that the nurseries here will start to stock a lot more of these plants ... they sort of went out of fashion over here and are only now making a slow come-back!

Thanks! : > )

Bernieh:

There's such great new varieties out there for sale. This is definitely a must for a tropical/subtropical garden. They are very popular here because they are very widely used and an interior plant for poorly lit areas...and of course in a very shaded garden outside.
