Beautiful. Mine are not flowering yet.

New again - the two I put in last year are in bud at the moment. I'm trying to get Cyclamen coum established under the ash tree with all the snowdrops.

I have a pink one in flower , it must have been in flower under the snow as it looks a bit worse for wear ..........

Do yours spread? I thought they were meant to, but I only planted two of them last year. I added these two...and I'm hoping, now!

Lovely Spritz........

I think that you need to collect the seeds and sow them where you want them to grow. I was given some seeds a few years ago and that is how I first got some going.

Why can't I leave them to seed themselves? Is there a reason? I thought that was supposed to happen - sort of 'naturalising' themselves.

I'm sure that they will naturalise but I think that collecting and sowing the seed is just a bit more certain. At least the seed doesn't get eaten or rot on the surface.

Not sure I can handle that, Toto - I think I'll leave them to do their own thing!

Ok Spritz. I suppose it's taking up a lot of your time feeding the badgers.

How lovely to have them growing amongst the snowdrops Spritz. We will be a few weeks behind you but our snowdrops are beginning to poke through...as are the crocus we planted last year !

I have a feeling that they do naturalise themselves Barbara because I have them coming up in places were I know that I didn't put them , in different areas of the garden as well ... At this time of the year I see alot of bulbs laying on top of the soil I usually push them in anywhere and then wait to see what comes up ,, I think sometimes this is how plants move around ....

Do so like the white ones, we had a lovely selection made a really good show, decided to move the compost bin, and the shed, forgot about the cyclamen put the shed on top of them, realized too late!!

Oh NO, Dd! I would have been so upset! You'll have to start again. They are in the GCs now.

Toto - yes, they are rather - but repairing the nightly damage........it's a bit tedious to say the least!

Amy - I am living in hope. The C. hederifolium have spread really well, so I don't see any reason why these shouldn't.

Thats pretty.

Spritz I was in two minds as to moving the shed again.....would not have gone down too well with hubby though lol

21 Jan, 2010

I think I'd have insisted on a move, Dd - losing all your lovely Cyclamen! Such a shame. :-(
