thanks Cat..its been a long road from the foundations that were layed at least a year ago..we are delighted with it. .the seed chamber is going in there this year with a heater...

22 Jan, 2010

Oh my .... a heated seed chamber...that is going to be so nice! Will you get to put into use this season?

22 Jan, 2010

yes .....first tomato seeds should be here any day. i have been finding stuff around the garden to use in the construction. scaffolding frame is the plan. we have to sow all the seeds for the market now. its going to get busy around here now...;-))

Thats a GH and a 1/2

I am thinking it is about that time...I hope all goes wonderfully ....cannot wait to visit you and your garden some day!

its amazing Drc....its taken ages but we are on the last leg. we had to compromise on the roof as the clear sheets were so expensive and we had tin ones left from the big shed build for every other one...... all the other materials are left overs or recycled. it faces south and gets the sun all day.

be nice Cat...;-))

I think its lovely, you will get good circulation in there.

i was delighted when i found out all the windows open....my husband Julian spotted them in the yard at work. they had been ther for years. and they just seemed to fit...;-))

What a find! Any chance of doors too?

22 Jan, 2010

no luck on finding a door yet....we still have two window spaces and a door to sort...but for now Julian is going to put some temperary polythene just to stop the draughts...

23 Jan, 2010

Its going to be a big one.....

23 Jan, 2010

You could have a vine?

23 Jan, 2010

we have been thinking about one Drc, there are sooo many possibilities. julian has grown and lost three ensete plants and numourous bananas so these are a must for his jungle bed....i have a few agave clinging on for dear life out in the garden so i am starting with some agave on the succulent side along with my biggest aeoniums which are tucked in my mothers conservetory. the seed chamber made a massive leap forward today but it has turned out much bigger thatn planned...i just hole the heater copes....

Great progress Sandra,

I hope the bad weather is over for you now and that you can get the greenhouse finished soon.

I have a heated mat which works well.I keep that on all through the winter

26 Jan, 2010

all change today Rachelsmum we have decide to go back to the origonal plan so the greenhouse is full of aeoniums and we will build another chamber for the seeds in the tunnel. they loook all cozy in there new house.....the door is now on the greenhouse......but in true last minuet fashion Julian has not figured out how to attatch the recycled sliding patio door yet. so in a desperate attempt to seal the greenhouse up tonight and keep the aeoniums warm we used some big nails to seal it up. we now have to get in an out through the window till julian has the time to remedy it....

26 Jan, 2010

lol..around here if that were sorted that way temporarily...it could take years to finish it...hope you have better luck...lol..You are so inventive and creative..sounds like so much fun..I love it.. :)

27 Jan, 2010

i doubt it will be any faster here Cat. the foundations were laid two years ago.....when the summer comes it wont need a door and it comes off easily if necessary..so unless i put on wieght and cant fit throught the window (i only just fit now...) then theres no panic........no panic,no get done.....lol

27 Jan, 2010

Start eating lots..you can always lose it later..lol

27 Jan, 2010

i like your thinking Cat...took a while for my brain to figure it out...lol

27 Jan, 2010

lol..not mine!..any excuse to eat what ever I want...lol..no brainer here...lol

27 Jan, 2010
