It must have a sweet fragrance...most Alocasia species have fragrant flowers.

I think its Alocasia amazonica it has purple under the leaves but it wasn't fragrant at all ??

Do the top of the leaves have strong white veins and bluish-green variegation?
That would be Alocasia amazonica. If it's solid olive green above then it's probably what's commonly called Alocasia metallica which has solid dark purple under the leaves also.

Yes your right it is metallica .I didn't know what the correct name was so looked in goy pedia and nearest photo was amazonica so goy may be wrong..

Alocasia species can be quite difficult to identify...there's so many hybrids.
I had a very large Alocasia metallica in a planter for years in front of my house when I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area.
It's a very beautiful plant when it grows large.
