Flame Vine blooms in winter and is very fast growing...it can grow up a 100 foot / 32 meters tall tree in no time at all. This vine is growing on the top of the roof of the reptile house at the San Diego Zoo.

The vine must be able to hold on or grip somehow to still be there after the wind and rain you've had lately.....

Mushybanna:
It's almost like Bougainvillea...it grows so quickly it will grow over itself until it climbs up a very tall tree or grows over large surfaces like a roof. : > )
This vine is so dense the winds and rains didn't affect a bit...actually, I didn't see much damage to any of the trees or plants at the San Diego Zoo. I think it's because they prune and maintain the trees/plants so well there. : > )

Hi,
This is really an impressive plant !
Could someone provide me seeds (25 g) of this wonderful Pyrostegia venusta plant ?
I'll be grateful if you can point me to a store where for sure I can get its seeds.
Thanks.
