I am a bit lucky they are alright Jamie sat on them about a week ago to chew a bone he found, he nearly felt my toe.

That does look a clump full of promise.
Shouldn't those old leaves have come off by now. Time for the secateurs methinks :-)

If the leaves are green I consider they are still feeding the plant so i leave them, they dont bother me.
Looking forward to seeing your Snowdrop Pictures you have not said if you grow most in the garden or in pots

You could be right about the leaves, might explain why some of mine don't go as well as expected. That's the trouble with "book learnin'" :-) So when do you remove them, do you wait until they are completely brown?

I've put a few pictures of snowdrops on a blog, if you're interested. I try and bulk them up in pots before putting them out. So I have some varieties in pots and the garden. But I've lost snowdrops in both situations and sometimes I just don't know why.

I usually leave them untill the new ones are fully expanded where they are gowing in cultivated beds end ofApril/ May,there are other that have seeded on banks and some in rough grass I just leave them to die away.
If you have a tidy border they do look a mess and would cut at least some off.
I tend not to do much tidy more wild.!
