This clump is a mixture of singles and doubles. They are clumping nicely.

It is H. foetida 'Wester Flisk' and the bluish leaf and reddish stem are at their best with new growth. I was very uncertain when I got them but I wouldn be without them now. Grow in deep shade under the beech tree.

I heard on Gardeners Question Time that there are loads of different varieties snowdrops, many named after shakespearean heroines. Carol Kline?? giggled as she said she could tell the members of the snowdrop society by their backsides as they were always bent over. :-))
