I haven't seen one of these before Arlene , what a good idea , where can you buy them ?

Thanks Arlene... yes, agree with Amy... great idea !
Now on my new blog... :o)

~ I think I got mine from Water Butts direct online for about £95 plus delivery £5 or so but shop around for cheapest!
All the water from the roof was being wasted as the drain is along the side of the house ~ it now goes through into the butt and any excess goes down the drain..

G reen house will be going up after Sky come and drill a hole for the HD cable NEXT WEEK! ~ been trying to get that sorted since well before Christmas but once the cabling is sorted and the greenhouse goes up there will be no access to that wall so had to be done.........

Ideal! I'll suggest this to my landlady! Diplomatically, of course! Otherwise, I might find myself looking for a new "butt 'n' ben" to rent. I have to 'phone her tomorrow re a leaking drainpipe, as happens. :-))

David.... I'm not sure your landlady would like to be squeezed into small spaces...? ...Lol.

Have been looking at these for some time, hoping the price would go down, can you paint them Arlene? we need a new butt, would like one that does not stick out, as they can be an eyesore cant they?
24 Feb, 2010
~it's also a question of room as I had no room to put a conventional one where this one is~they come in black and green I think but as they are a type of plastic you probably could spray paint them~it's much neater than the big barrel type and because the water is coming from the roof they fill up quickly!
See www.waterbutt.co.uk
and at the moment you can order 2 for £159.50 including delivery!~you and a friend?
