Thanks Louise , I've been trying to buy small conifers and shrubs with winter colour to go under my front window , We have dug out a bed of ornimental grass there which was spreading everywhere , even into the lawn , hopefully this idea will be much better ........

Winter colour is so important or else you have a bit of a dreary garden though winter .... much like my front garden :-/
I'm trying to incorporate more winter coloured shrubs too, to place in the herbaceous borders out the front.

Those leaves are a smashing colour...does it have small blue flowers Amy? So many plants have died this winter, my garden is really dreary Louise...even the Helibore buds are still frozen to the ground...:o(
