The last ones he carved lasted more than 9 years but were getting pretty rotten through. He's also done a single one. The colouring is natural - some sort of hardwood from a blown down tree in the wood.

Great work. We've amanita mushroom here, bright orange caps, these remind me much of them. Very iconic look. :-)
