What is this ! is it a flower ?

It looks very strange. I know they do flower. I wonder if that's what it is.

yep i would say so amy, north american pitcher plant or side sadle flower commanly known, it loves the cold weather so should flower here amy,look forward to flower :o)

yup its from north america simbad and canada so it should, apparently grows near lakes like the great lakes

Thanks San. I've had this inside all winter , I keep it in the back porch hoping it will catch flies before they reach the kitchen ..LOL..
I will take a photo again of the flower when it opens .. .. I didn't expect this , it's a surprise ... :o)
