This photo of Camellia Dr King, a deep red, was taken at the end of the first week of April 2009. As these spring bulbs are woodland plants they don't mind the acid compost in which Dr King lives.

I don't know what has happened to the Hyacinths that can be seen in the pot, there's no sign of them this year & I'm sure I've not taken them out.
Dr King has several buds just waiting to open.
