Odontonema callistachyum - Lavender Firestick

My Lavender Firestick has many flower spikes. This plant is very difficult to photograph because the true color cannot be captured with any camera.(that I know of) Photo taken March 28, 2010.

Maybe it's the angle, but they look like big leaves on that.

It's the very brilliant colors which are difficult to capture...even with the best camera. Yes, this plant has large leaves to 12 inches/ 31 cm. long. It also can grow tall: to 15 feet/ 4.6 meters tall. Mine shrub is around 11 feet/ 3.4 meters tall though.
