Livistona chinensis - Chinese Fountain Palm

Two very old Chinese Fountain Palms on the side of the Holiday Inn Hotel across the street from the San Diego County Building in downtown. These palm are probably more than 20 feet/ 6.1 meter tall. Photo taken Apr. 2, 2010.

Yes, they are. : > ) They're pretty commonly grown here...however, they don't grow too much taller than this...not unless they are very, very old. (like say more than a hundred years old)
