Clematis Armandii ramping all over my greenhouse whilst providing some shade..

wow,ive got this but it never flowers,whats your secret?

~ it's usually left to it's own devices!~ although this last autumn winter it has had a lot of rain~ is in a fairly smallish pot on the steps outside the greenhouse but have been giving it some clematis fertiliser (packet from Wyvale) and will be moving it up into a bigger pot when it stops flowering.

I didn't know this could be grown in a pot. Several gardens around me have them but no flowers yet. Yous is beautiful.

~ I don't suppose it is meant to be grown in a pot! I am intending to line the new pot with white foam cut to shape to keep the roots cool just in case we do have a barbecue summer.....

ha ha bbq summer ha ha ha! lovely clematis arlene. They like to be warm I think, this kind. I had one in my dundee garden and it did really well so they are very hardy.
