Dottydaisy2:
These palms grow very quickly. They grow best when each palm is in a separate pot, because they grow very tall.
Washingtonia robusta - Mexican Fan palm is a weed here in San Diego, CA. I have hundreds every year popping up under my tall Norfolk Island tree (from the birds)...which I'm constantly pulling out. Maybe I should send some to the U.K. : > )

Del you would make a small fortune if you did.........they wont grow too tall here though....will they?

Dottydaisy2:
They will grow slower in a pot and stay a manageable height.
Here they grow wild everywhere in California...especially in canyon areas here in San Diego. They also grow pretty quickly to100 feet/ 31 meters or more tall.

I would be popular with the neighbours...if they grew that tall !!!

Dottydaisy2:
You would be popular until hundreds of Washingtonia robusta seedlings started popping up in your neighbor's yards. lol!. : > )
