Thanks all .... yes they are hardy San ..I have had them for several years , I had one flower and now I have two ....i'm pleased about that ...
They do look like skirts Gee , I shall think that everytime I look at them .. :o)

Beautiful Amy. Is it quite a small plant.
Kathy: I've just looked at PlantWorld and they have TRILLIUM CAMSCHATCENSE seeds - large, white, three-petalled flowers in spring, slowly ageing to purple. Invariably growing in shade in deciduous woodland. I've also read they like bog conditions along with shade - maybe good for our woodlands.

Dawn , mine has always been in the full sun and it's flowered in the same place for years ... also it is purple right from the start ... .. having said that it has usually died down before we have the very hot summer sun ..... it's quite large as well the leaves are as big as a dinner plate and the flowers 6" tall .. on this photo the flowers haven't completely opened yet ......

Mine flowered the first year San . so not long to wait .......

Hi Amy, that's good news then that they like the sun. Those leaves sound great too. Oh no, not another 'must have' for me.
