This is the best time of the year for the bottom end of the garden. The wetness on the path is due to a pair of magpies bathing in a deep shell shaped bird bath. A new event

Lovely garden, Dorjec. Can I ask what the three trees are to the left of the photo, just beyond the tulips?

They are the three veteran minarette apple trees GEE. They are getting a bit flighty now. They had a severe short back and sides and topped out as a winter prune this year. They have budded up well. Only half there, fingers crossed for a good crop, they tend to bear fruit every 2 years. We have ten trees on dwarf rooting in the border. The pears seem to do well but apples on dwarf stock be very fidgety about cropping well.

Thanks, Dorjac. Fascinating, I didn't know fruit trees could be grown like this. Hope you get lots of lovely fruit :)
