My pink Epiphyllum blooming from a cutting...which was cut about 3 months ago. It must have had enough nourishment in the stem for it to bloom so well. Photo taken Apr. 17, 2010.

I posted a better pic a couple of weeks ago. I realized it was sitting in a pot with no roots also.

Epiphyllum hybrids are such tough plants. They tolerate just about anything...and still bloom.

Thanks! Yes, it is usually just neglected in the yard somewhere...and when it blooms is when I notice it.

Yes, it's not too unusual. They grow very easily here...just neglect them and they bloom. : > )

Very true. : > )
The Clivia varieties which are very widely grown here don't receive much water or care...they, however, like to have snail bait put around them because snails love to eat the flowers.
