Do they grow easily Andy or only a few survive?

Milky:

They popped within 3 weeks...I would say it's pretty easy. I can't remember how many seeds I planted though. I'll be starting more soon.

Terratoonie:

I posted a pic of the larger one a couple of weeks ago. I don't think you saw that photo. I know you're documenting them. I'll be posting more as they progress.

Hi Delonix.. I missed that. I'll check it out. Thank you.
I'm currently doing a lot of outdoor garden tasks and not so much on the computer !

Hello Delonix...
Yes. The gardens in many parts of England and Wales have had lots of sunny, dry days... lovely for gardening, but most unusual to be needing to water plants in April for lack of rain.... no April showers !

..but, yes, I'm tackling all sorts... painting, planting, redesigning.
How is that corner of your yard which you recently cleared ?
Has it worked out as you hoped ? Is there a latest photo ?

Terratoonie:

Glad to hear you're having lots of sunny, dry days for gardening! It sounds perfect for tackling all those projects.

I think your April showers have come to San Diego...as we are getting quite a bit this month which is very rare...and below normal temps...even though we've had several days with temps in the 75-80 degrees F/ 24 - 27 degrees C. range. Although, last Wednesday and Thursday we had some of the coldest weather and rain...even breaking records. Mt. Laguna (6,000 feet elevation) had an extremely rare 12 inches of snow...the meteorologist can't remember when this has happened this late in the year before.(it's rare even in the middle of winter)

My shade structure is pretty much completed! However, it needs soil and my plants need to be re-planted. I hope to be posting pics soon. : > )
