Milky:
Your Brighamia insignis - Alula (or Hawaiian Palm which isn't a true palm) looks great! : >)
This plant is native to Kauaʻi, Hawaii not too far from where my mother's family is originally from. It can be a tricky plant to grow because it needs perfect drainage. They grow outside here in San Diego, however, they must be planted on a side of hill or on a mound with mostly lava rock. They need water but need to dry out well before the next watering especially in soil.
I have several pics. of this plant blooming at the San Diego Zoo if you want to see how they are grown outside. : > )

Delonix Thanks for this information it will be a great help The information that I was given, says it also needs a moist atmosphere is that right? They dont like dry heat? I will have a browse through you pics to find them...

Milky:
That's correct they prefer to have a lot of humidity -- which is typical of the humid, tropical climate of Hawaii. They will tolerate dry heat. My father has one in the city of Temecula which is very, very hot and dry as it's on the edge of the desert. However, his plant gets a lot of spider mites even though it's grown in semi-shade.

Delonix...yes that was the one pest I was told to look out for on the information sheet
28 Apr, 2010
Milky:
Spider mites are very difficult eradicate because they multiply like crazy.
Spide mites are one of the biggest pests on our plants here because we don't receive any rain for so many months.

Oh Milky what a smasher.........such a stunning shape, good luck with it.
