That looks gorgeous, Milky. I have one but it's still very tiny. Should I do anything to make it branch out more? It was a Tesco £2.99 bargain about 2 years ago.

I think its best left to do its own thing Gee.....This one I have had for about 12 years now.....

When I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area I saw many maples trees. They loved a northern exposure. Here in San Diego at the Japanese gardens there's some very beautiful specimens...however, some species don't like our hard water nor the heat of mid-summer.

I can understand that Andy They are not too keen on our full summer sunshine....

Milky:

I don't see too many of them growing here. However, they do grow here...as long as they receive semi-shade in a northern exposure.
