what a lovely garden

Thanks Michaella and Yorkshire. Amy thankyou, my OH built the wall with boulders he found when digging out the foundations for the conservatory, I love it but it has suffered frost damage this year (no wonder!) and quite a few of the boulders need to be cemented in place again. I wonder if he'll do it this year lol.

i love the way that tree drapes its branches onto the floor in the far corner. the [arum?] lily looks very attractive ~ am i right in thinking it is happy in shade? i would certainly like to do that. funny thing ~ your cat looks very similar to mine!!
that picture is very helpful ~ do you know which way your garden faces? it looks as though you have a wall down one side so i imagine the garden is well protected?

Hi Sticki, thanks i do love that tree, I planted the arum lily up in the woods near the pond and so far so good, it had lots of flowers throughout the summer. There is some sun up there most of the day, the garden faces north west. The wall that you see is the neighbours garage and there is our own garage on the other side, which does protect the garden a little and then the trees at the back help too.

No problem Leigh, but for all good things you have to wait lol xx

is the lily in a pot or straight in the ground? i kept a lot of mine in pots this year but wasnt sure if that was best or not ~ i particularly like that white one ~ i think it will suit the garden! it certainly suits yours!
