Having lost a few plants this winter i was worrying about my tree fern after the harsh winter and having planted it in the garden ,
but pheww its survived and a new frond on the way...Yeahhhh....;o))

I'm glad although it did have straw in the crown and a fleece jacket round where the trunk and the crown meet just to make sure.. :o)))))
Mind you with a name like antarctia it should survive LOL

Dicksonia antarctica - Tasmanian tree fern grows here also...however, they of course, don't need a blanket in winter. LOL! : > )
I think Dicksonia squarrosa - New Zealand tree fern is more widely grown here than Tasmanian tree fern though.
