I took this photo in Armenia a few days ago. It was a standard type small tree with large round flower heads. It was in the mountains with hot summers and cold winters. Does anyone know what it is?

It looks like Hydrangea, on a tree? Usually (here) they are bushy right from the ground.

It looks like a Viburnum Opulus Roseum, sometimes called the Snowball tree, my neighbour has it, it is absolutely beautiful right now.

Yes Michaella you are right. It fits with the description of a Vibernum Opulus. I was surprised to see it in the standard shape!
