LOL .. sorry if I gave you a fright San ... did Baz catch yours or is it still hiding somewhere .. :o(
We have had wasps inside , they have been up the windows , I'm keeping my eyes open in case we have a nest anywhere .. I thought it was a bit early for them . !

Give it ago, dont know if it is the flee spray, put i know for sure i've not had any for years in the house, infact if i had no pets think i'd still use it just so i dont get spiders.

its amazing how many little spiders there are......

I wonder if that would stop Ants Carole . we have loads of them coming out of the skirting boards in the summer , the flying ones as well ..! I don't mind normal Spiders , I'm not to keen on the ones with big round balloon type bodies that hang about on the shrubs etc. they cling onto your clothes ..Yuk !
Holly , just image if they had all grown into big ones in the greenhouse ..screammmmmmmm ...

OMG...lol..........a horror film...lol

I remember having these in my greenhouse last year. It was fascinating - if you touched the web they all moved! I've had several wasps indoors as well but they seem a bit sluggish.

Sandra, my Auntie swears that a Conker in each corner of a room keeps spiders away. My Mum now does this too, she's afraid of them, and I can honestly say there are no spiders in their houses ! Strange but true.

I wonder how many survive to adulthood? Like frog spawn, is there a high mortality rate so they have loads to ensure a reasonable success rate?

I did that Gee , the web was touching a plant I moved the plant slightly and the spiders all moved .. .. these wasps don't appear to be sluggish they are lively and seem so big , we had a nest in the loft the other year I was worried that there might be another one , each year we have some about the place ....
I've never heard that Megan , that's worth a try and so easy to do :o)
I don't know about that PG , I have no idea what predators they have , maybe I should have brought them in to my insect eating plant , that must be hungry after the winter !

I'm with Sanbaz, Clarice and Megan's mum and aunt!! Hate spiders!! Don't mind this tiny ones TOO much.....it's what they grow into I dread! I've heard the think about the conkers....there's meant to be a chemical in them spiders don't like. I've got those really fine, spindly-legged ones in my house - I'm told they're highly venomous but are not equiped with strong enough jaws to harm a human, but they can eat a bath spider?!
5 May, 2010
I'm pleased you like them Jacque .. :o)
Moths are strange things Janette they seem to flap straight at you , I can understand you not liking them i'm sure theres not as many as there use to be I can remember when the glass in the windows use to be covered in them when you had the lights on and they looked like snow in the car headlights it's not like that anymore ..........
I didn't know about the spindly-legged ones being venomous Sid , you will have me looking round more carefully , thank goodness they are not bigger ....
5 May, 2010
I've looked them up on the internet and apparently the thing about them being highly venemous is just a myth. However, they do eat much larger bath spiders, so they are good guys as far as I'm concerned!!
8 May, 2010
Yuk...........made me go all goosey just looking at them.
11 May, 2010
I'm pleased to hear that Sid . yes they can eat as many fat Spiders as they like here to ..
Sorry Angela .. :o))
