Hi Wagger, thanks for the comment. I actually call her both according to who I may be talking to and how the fancy takes me. Must say that I prefer calico - sounds more intriguing as I can't see how somebody thought to call them that.

You will find that I responded to one of your posts yesterday and asked why you chose "Wagger" for your user name - whether the cat is Wagger or what. I have not been around here long enough to have gleaned this information before, so forgive me if it is old news.

I've always called Misty a tortoiseshell but see from the definition that these have no or relatively few white markings - so she's a calico from now on, LOL.
