Butterfly

Oh how beautiful, have never seen one like it either.......

It took me a while to workout where the moth was, he is very nice.

Off hand I don't know what he his but I'll try to find him in one of my books and let you know if I do. He has the general shape of a Skipper Butterfly.

I posted it as a question too - and Seaburngirl says it's an orange-tipped butterfly! I was amazed! I have seen lots of them around the garden recently. but never at rest. Isn't he lovely - and unusual! :-)))

I was really lucky to spot him when I had my camera ready....

I have to agree that it is an amazing pic and that SBG is correct. I have found it on page 62 of my "Collins Butterfly Guide".

Yes - it's an amazing little butterfly - who'd have thought that an orange tip would have wing-reverses like this! think I'd better edit the title now I know it's not a moth....
